Are you tired of starting over on your diet and exercise goals every single Monday? Let me help you stop the cycle!
Tell me if this is you…Sunday rolls around and you’re feeling all the motivation to do better than you did the week before. Kind of similar to what you told yourself last Sunday too right? I promise it’s not just you. In fact, I used to do the same thing when I was trying to figure things out for myself. And this is what soooo many ladies who start working with us at Busy Gal Nutrition come to us struggling with. And they don’t know it any other way.
Here are some questions I want you to ask yourself, do you do a lot of restrictive dieting during the week? Do you feel burnt out by the end of the week trying to be perfect? By the weekend, do you give up and give in to all your cravings and overdo it?
If you answered yes to those questions, I’m going to let you in on a couple of secrets we teach those same ladies…
โ First things first, stop restricting carbs and foods you love during the week! Yup, you read that right! I don’t want you to stop eating your favorite foods, even if you think they’re “bad”. You can and SHOULD have plenty of fiber-rich carbs every day to make sure you actually feel full and satisfied.ย If youโre starving and deprived all week, it’s no wonder you go nuts on the weekend when you remove those restrictive (and boooooring ๐ฅฑ) rules!
โ Stop skipping meals! Seriously, stop with this one. It isn’t doing you ANY favors. Are you skipping breakfast? Working through lunch? Skipping meals leads to hanger and stress. Instead, actually fueling your busy work week will help you get to the end of the week feeling calm and intentional.ย
โ Stop going SO hard on your exercise goals, and start focusing on movement that feels GOOD on a daily basis! This will help make sure you keep up the consistency of exercise throughout the whole week. Also, 5-6 days of consistent movement is more effective than 1 REALLY hard spin class ๐
โ Stop searching for a diet, supplement, or restrictive mindset every week that will magically fix all your problems and make you feel better. It doesn’t exist. Instead, start focusing on long-term habits youโll actually LIKE and ENJOY and want to keep!
Life is meant to be enjoyed every day. No one should be spending their week miserable just to live on the weekend. And that goes for more than just your nutrition and health habits ๐
