Before starting with Busy Gal Nutrition, I was experiencing lots of fatigue and inflammation. I didn't have the energy to make it through my day without taking breaks every few minutes. I also wasn't sleeping at night and was in a terrible mood almost all of the time. I came into this program and we quickly realized that I was not eating near enough calories to help me make it through my day. Honestly, the first couple of months was Laura begging me to eat. I was doing my best, but between medicine changes and different stress inducing circumstances, my appetite and hunger cues were almost non existent. I think my first break through was the week I finally ate enough calories in a consistent manner. I was sleeping through the night, and had the energy to make it through my day. Once I started viewing food as fuel instead of a chore, I was able to learn how to eat to make it through my busy schedule.
Before starting the program, I would get very overwhelmed when grocery shopping and going to a restaurant. I also didn't have the energy to make it through the day. Now, I have the confidence to make choices that are going to benefit me and fuel my body. I know how to pick foods that will allow me to not only survive my busy schedule, but to make it through with a smile on my face.
